Detailed Instructions - Performed only by Carestream Tech

These instructions are only for reference

The steps listed below should only be performed by Carestream Technical Support and are not to be attempted by TDO Technical Support.

  1. The first step in the installation is to ensure that TDO is completely closed, the RVG sensor is not plugged into the computer and all previous drivers are uninstalled.
  2. Then, run the SetupCarestreamSDK.exe. Browse to the Kodak directory in the TDOffice folder to see if there is a SDKenabled.txt file there. The location is:

    C:\Program Files\TDOffice\Kodak

    C:\Program Files (x86)\TDOffice\Kodak

  3. Move the TDO.Imaging.CareStreamIntegration.dll to the TDO Dotnet folder if using Version 11 of TDO. Typically it will either be:
    • C:\Program Files\TDOffice\DotNet
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\TDOffice\DotNet
  4. Carestream will install the 4.6.9.0-C Metainstaller (DO NOT install as TWAIN). Select RVG 5000/6000 5100/6100 AND RVG 5200/6200
  5. Make sure the Acquisition.dllis version 2.1.93.4. This file can be located in either:
    • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Trophy\Acquisition
    • C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Trophy\Acquisition
  6. Carestream will run Active_TDO.reg
  7. Carestream will install 4.5.88.9 (DO NOT install as TWAIN) Select RVG 5000/6000 5100/6100 AND RVG 5200/6200
  8. Plug the RVG sensor into the computer.
  9. Ensure that the device shows that it is Ready to Use.

Configure Sensor in TDO

Switching Sensors

If you have both 6100 and 6200 sensors, it is not recommended to switch between the two in the same operatory. The sensors use different filter settings within TDO which will cause your X-Rays to be inconsistent. If you choose to use both, we recommend using 6100 sensors in separate operatories from the ones that use 6200 sensors.

Open the Workstation Settings area inside TDO.

In Version 11 this can be found by going to Administrative > Edit Control Table > Workstation Settings

In Version 12 go to Setup > Site ConfigurationEdit Control Table > Workstation Settings

Ensure that Radiography Software is set to Carestream 6000 Series if the computer uses a 6100 sensor, or Carestream 6200 if the computer uses a 6200 sensor. The Carestream SDK box must also be checked (only in version 11).

The CSDAT Folder should be either:

  • C:\Program Files\TDOffice\Kodak
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\TDOffice\Kodak

Acquire an Xray

  1. Click on the Acquire button in the top toolbar of TDO.
  2. Select a Category to save the image to from the column on the right.
  3. Click on the Xray button in the top row of the Acquire window. A timer will appear if using a 6100 and begin a countdown, if using a 6200 no timer appears but a green halo will appear on the lower left of the window. Expose the sensor when ready to acquire.
