Online Patient Payment Service with Rectangle

Overview

For those offices using Rectangle as their Credit Card processing system, we are happy to announce that patients will now be able to make online payments. Payments made online will directly reflect in TDO in real time. Payments will automatically be posted in the Ledger. It is a good alternative to recurring billing where patients can make their monthly installments online.

NOTE: This feature is available for TDO11 and TDO 12 users. This feature will work for Web and Cloud users.

TDO Internal Note: TDO Support please let the Web Services Team know to activate their account, an additional step will be needed to enable this feature.

Detailed Instructions

  • Getting your Rectangle Web Password
    • In order to get the credentials to make sure the portal users log into is updated. For this, users will need to call Rectangle to verify and to update, if needed.
    • Once the portal is updated, please log in into provider’s account.
    • Under “Options” select “Settings”.

  • Under “Security Options” please select “Security Keys”.

  • Users will need to create the “Private” and “Public” Security Keys.
  • To create a Private key click on “Add a New Private Key”.
  • On New Private Key Name enter:
    • Key Name: Can be anything, such as TDO Cloud
    • Username: select a user
    • Key Permission: API

  • Click on Create.

Once the Private Key is created a “KeyID” and a “Key” will be generated. Note: users will only need one Private Key for payments online.

  • To create a Public Key click on “Add New Public Key”.
  • On New Public Key Name enter:
    • Key Name: Can be anything, such as TDO Cloud
    • Username: select a user
    • Key Permission: Tokenization

  • Click on Create.

Once the Public Key is created a “KeyID” and a “Key” will be generated. Note: users will only need one Public Key for payments online.

In TDO:

  • Go to Setup>Site Configuration>Edit Doctor Information.
  • Click on Doctor-Location Setup.
  • On “Merchant ID Web” field enter the key generated in “Private Key”.
  • On “Merchant Web PW” enter in the key generated in “Public Key”.

 

 

Online Patient Registration

  • Patients can log on to the Patient Login area.
  • Click on OFFICE MESSAGES / PAYMENTS.
  • Click on OFFICE PAYMENTS.

  • Patients can enter in the amount to pay.
  • Click on “Make Payment” button.
  • Patients can enter the credit card information.

  • Click on Submit.
  • Once the payment is processed there will be a ‘transaction approved’ message.

NOTE: A confirmation email will be sent to the patient.

Providers can also process Credit Card payments online. They can simply log on to the Admin login area, Select the patient to process the payment.

Click on MAKE PAYMENT and enter the amount and click on “Make Payment”.

Provider can enter the payment information then click on “Submit”.

Payment confirmation should display on the screen.

 

NOTE: When a payment has been processed thru the Admin login area the patient will not receive an email confirmation.
