[v11] End of Support for TDO Software Version 11 and older

TDO Software has provided support for its Version 11 software for the last 14 years. As with all technology, software products eventually reach their natural end of life for various reasons including new and better technologies becoming available. Our team strives to provide the latest features and most up to date software needed in endodontic practices of all sizes. To support this goal, our team has decided to invest our team’s resources, both from a support and development perspective, in our current Version 12 and the future versions of TDO.

 

As a result of this decision, TDO Software has decided to discontinue support for any TDO Software version prior to our TDO Version 12 software and beyond. This end of life will become effective on January 1, 2023. 

 

What is the reasoning behind this decision?

Aside from the reasons mentioned above, our team has not made any developments in Version 11 since January of 2018 and all development resources are dedicated to current and future TDO releases. Additionally, Windows 11 has not been tested for use with TDO version 11 in any capacity, and as a result we can't provide any assurance of compatibility. Additionally, many technical issues that might be encountered in Version 11 are resolved in more recent and future versions of TDO Software.

What happens if I stay on TDO Version 11?

Your software will continue to work after January 1st, 2023 but is subject to any sort of technical issues at which point it will be the responsibility of your team to resolve. It is for this reason that we suggest planning your update to Version 12 at or around this time but the date can be adjusted to what works for your office.

 

After January 1, 2023 our support team will encourage your office to upgrade to the latest version of our software for any calls/emails/live chats related to Version 11. 



Ready to Upgrade?

 

Once your office is ready to proceed with the Version 12 upgrade, please contact support at support@tdo4endo.com or (858) 558-3696. The upgrade will require an updated contract to be signed (no fees), all staff to review the training material on TDO University, then time scheduled to complete the upgrade on your server. Workstations will need to be updated by the office or your IT, though we are happy to get you started with that and support you if any issues arise.
