Steps in Completing Treatment

TDO follows a Diagnostic and Treatment protocol which is very standardized and results in a complete and comprehensive record. The Treatment protocol is basically as follows:

1. Fill out the Treatment form thoroughly listing all measurements, sizes, pulp status, obturation method, coronal endo, drugs and anesthesia given, etc.   When you are finished filling out the page, click the Completed box to show the page was completed.

2. After treatment is completed, go to the Final Report page and complete it.

3. After filling out the Final Report page, review your treatment with the patient in an exit interview using pictures and final radiographs, if possible. Before and after radiographs are very useful here as well as a discussion about the future restorative needs and your recall policy and schedule.

4. Finish at the Notes to the Front page and complete the page fully.

If these steps are taken, the record keeping in TDO will be exemplary and the patient will get superior care and the office records will be at the highest possible standard.   When the treatment is finished, check the Completed box on the Treatment page. This is very important!
