TDO-Gendex Integration (Vixwin or GxTWAIN)

Perquisites

GxPicture Suite and Vixwin would need to be installed by the office’s IT or Gendex representative.

VixWin

1. TDO looks for the folder “c:\vx_qlink”. If this program (VX_QLINK) isn’t installed, contact Kavo Support.
2. Run the VxQlink app and set automode and systray.
3. Create a short cut to "C:\vx_qlink.exe" and move to the Startup folder.
4. VixWin needs to running at all time while using TDO.
5. Go to TDO Control table->Workstation Settings. Select "Gendex" from the Radiography Software dropdown.
6. Open Acquire and click on the Xray button (Tooth icon). VixWin should display and be ready to take the xray.

GxTWAIN

1. Open Control Table > Workstation Settings.
2. Set Radiography Software to TWAIN.
3. Select GxTWAIN for the TWAIN data source.
4. If you are on TDO 12, make sure to select ’Default’ for the TWAIN type.

Troubleshooting

If images are not coming into TDO, check if the VixWin software is open. It may be set to open automatically upon image acquisition. It will grab the image instead of the Twain driver, and the image won't come into TDO. Please contact Gendex support for a resolution to this issue.
