TDO and QuickBooks setup and prerequisites.
In order to use the TDO QuickBooks integration on your workstation, you need to have UAC fully disabled in the windows registry. Please see this article for more information on this.
TDO integration with QuickBooks allows the practice to synchronize the financial transactions with QuickBooks, eliminating redundant work entering financial information and providing enhanced financial reports directly from QuickBooks.

Please note, the QuickBooks sync is compatible with QuickBooks Pro, Premiere or Enterprise desktop edition. The sync does not work with the online version of QuickBooks.
At this time, QuickBooks has discontinued support for 2020 versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premiere and Enterprise. They will be discontinuing support for 2021 versions on May 31st 2024. For further details please visit the following article: https://kb.tdo4endo.com/article.php?id=946.
• Production in TDO goes to QuickBooks as an invoice. This is tied to accounts receivable and the fee codes are linked to the income account
• Payments in TDO go to QuickBooks as payments into undeposited funds. From undeposited funds they are grouped together by type and date and deposited to the bank.
• Credit adjustments in TDO go to QuickBooks as credit memos.
• Debit adjustments in TDO that are non-production charges go to QB as invoices
• Debit adjustments in TDO that are money out of the account go to QB as check to be printed.
• The accounts that are used by the sync process are your bank account, accounts receivable, undeposited funds and income (fee for service). Please do not make changes to these accounts once the sync has been configured.
• Once a transaction has been sent to QB via the sync process you cannot delete or change it or the sync will send over another copy of that transaction.
When using TDO QuickBooks integration and TDO Payments Credit Card Processing there are additional information to be covered. Different Credit Card companies processes deposits differently. The way bank fees are withheld varies. The way care credit deposits varies depending on how the account is set up with those providers. TDO has no control over these differences, and concerns related to these differences cannot be addressed by the TDO Team.
