Letters - Microsoft Word - security warning

Overview

When creating or sending a report in the letters module, a Microsoft Word Security Notice may be displayed. 

We are aware of the notification appearing.

This is affecting Microsoft Word 2016 and higher.

• You can select either YES or NO to acknowledge the warning - will not affect the sending of the letter

Current Status

As of July, 19th 2021:

Click to Run and newer does not get the warning when you send a letter. 

If you are getting this error, please run the Word updates for your current version of Word. 

Version affected: Word 2016, Version 2106, Build 14131.20230

• You can check you version by opening Microsoft Word outside of TDO
• File>Account> About Word

Detailed Instructions

To run Word updates for your current version of Word:

1. Open Word outside of TDO 
2. Got to "File" at the top left hand corner, this will open a column on the left 
3. In the column on the left go down to "Account" 
4. Next to office updates, you will see an "Update options" box with a drop down 
5. Click "Update now"
