Overview

As a TDO user, there are several options for staying up to date on software update information and also interacting with other TDO users.  Please read all four descriptions and familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations before signing up.  These forums are one of the most valuable parts of TDO.

Detail Instructions

You will need to create a GOOGLE account, but having a GMAIL account is not necessary to join, however, it is easier.

Optional Groups to Join:

TDO News – Automatic enrollment and mandatory TDO forum.  You cannot be removed from TDO News as long as you are a TDO user.  Through TDO News, we communicate with all of our users about new TDO functionality, upgrades, User Group Meetings, corporate policies, and so on.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you are receiving TDO News; otherwise, you will be completely uninformed of what is happening with TDO.

TDO Chat – Optional forum, which combines the critical messages of TDO News with discussions and chat amongst TDO users.  In TDO Chat, TDO’ers communicate about everything from the TDO software and operatory setup to the weather and events in their part of the world.  If enrolled in TDO Chat, you should expect to receive 20 email messages per day.  If your mailbox has limited space, you most likely cannot support this forum and should read our recommendations below.

TDO Clinical – Optional forum through which TDO doctors post their clinical cases and receive feedback from other TDO doctors.  Please note: This forum is for clinical cases only.  TDO Chat is reserved for all other subjects and discussions.  The doctor may post cases directly from the imaging module or letters module in TDO: no need to copy, paste, or retype anything.

TDO Staff Chat – Reserved for all members of the doctor’s staff: front and back office personnel.  In this forum, staff members can ask questions about TDO, discuss the upcoming User Group Meeting, or send pictures of their family and friends.  This is a great network to belong to!

WARNING:  Please be aware that you may experience difficulty when receiving these e-mails if your mailbox blocks junk mail (for example, AOL) or has limited space (for example, Yahoo or Hotmail).  To avoid this hassle, please make sure that your junk/spam filter has been configured properly, and TDO forum

Rules and Regulations:

  1. It is the doctor’s responsibility to ensure they are receiving messages from TDO News.  You cannot be removed from TDO News for any reason.  It is also the doctor’s responsibility to maintain all of the optional mailing lists: TDO Chat, TDO Clinical and TDO Staff.  We are not responsible for undersized mailboxes, incorrect e-mail addresses or rejected e-mail messages.
  2. TDO News, TDO Chat, TDO Clinical, and TDO Staff are for the exclusive and sole use of TDO users and their staff.  Under no circumstances are non-TDO individuals allowed into the forum.  There are no exceptions to this rule.
  3. Because we encourage debate on controversial subjects, under no circumstances are postings from any TDO forum to be copied or relayed outside of TDO.  If a TDO user would like to forward a posting to a non-TDO third party, he or she must get the permission of every single individual in the subject post.  We want every TDO’er to be completely free to voice their opinion without fear of disclosure to non-TDO persons.
  4. Clinical cases posted in TDO Clinical may contain very sensitive information about patients and other treating clinicians.  For this reason, these cases are for our own educational benefit and are not to be shared with any clinician outside of TDO.
  5. Our goal is to provide a forum for open and honest debate about substantial issues that confront us all as specialists.  We are clinicians centered on performing at the highest possible level and as such, the viewpoints and cases presented here may threaten others within our specialty – those who do not share this goal or have a different agenda.  We want every TDO’er to speak freely and honestly within this group without fear of exposure.
  6. TDO News, TDO Chat, TDO Clinical, and TDO Staff are a privilege, not a right.  Violation of any of the above rules will result in immediate removal from the mailing list without recourse.
