TDO Replica Information

TDO Replica utilizes a SQL Merge Replication system that allows you to see all patient information from multiple locations simultaneously, via the internet. Each location needs to have a fast, reliable internet connection and a dedicated server with specific operating system requirements. One server will be selected to be the main location, and the data will be replicated to this location. It is very important that all parties are aware that you would like to utilize this service from the beginning, to ensure a smooth transition to TDO.
Please make sure to schedule the Replica setup in advance. The office will need time after the technical setup, and before seeing patients, to configure the new location(s) within TDO. Also, if you are a new Replica user, the doctor/TDO license holder will need to sign an agreement for the Replica service, as well as have signed the v12 TDO Master agreement.

TDO Replica requires each location to have TDO Cloud services. Any locations that don't yet have TDO Cloud will need to be set up with Cloud, and there will be a one-time setup fee for each location.
Your IT Professional will need to purchase the full version of SQL Standard for your main location. Please ask them for a quotation on this software. You will need SQL Standard 2016, 2019, or 2022, as the Express edition that comes with TDO does not include the replication tools. Server OS and SQL compatibility can be checked here - OS SQL Compatibility. The TRIAL version of SQL Standard will not work. You will need 1 CAL license per connecting workstation at the primary location. The other location(s) can use the Express version unless the database size grows beyond the limits of the Express version. To learn more about the SQL database limit, click here.
