Setting Up a Workstation for Canadian (CDA) eClaims: Version 11

Overview

Use these instructions to set up your TDO workstation to submit Canadian (CDA) eClaims.

The instructions listed below will apply if you are currently using Version 11 of TDO Software. If you are using 12 or higher, please follow the instructions listed HERE.

Windows Vista/XP users: Windows VISTA/XP can only have iCA version 2.4.3.1 BETA installed. If using Windows Vista or XP, you must contact iTrans to get this setup.


Set the CDA Communication Application Path

Open Administrative > Edit Control Table

Open the Workstation Settings tab

Enter ’C:\CCD’ in the CDA Communication Application Path


Add the Workstation to CDA Workstations Allowed

Open Program Setup > Canadian Claim Workstations.

If the workstation is not already in the list, click ’Add this Workstation’


Uninstall CCD

Open the Task Manager and go to the Details tab.
Look for the name "ccd.exe" or "ccd32.exe". Select it and click on the End Task button
Check if this is in the Startup folder; if it is, remove it. In Windows 10 you can find the Startup folder by holding down the Windows key and typing R. Type shell:startup and click ok


Install CCDWS

Offices will need to install CCDWS in order to send to ABC over IP. The installation file is in X:\TDOBuilds\TDO11\CDANet\ABC Setup\CCDWS. Run the file ccdws-1.0.5.1-win-install.exe.

Go to c:\ccd\ folder and double click on ccdws.exe. This will launch ccdws. Add a shortcut of the ccdws.exe to the Startup folder so that ccdws will always launch after they reboot.


Uninstall iCA

Go to Control Panel->Programs and Features. Uninstall iTRANS Communication Agent.

Manually delete the files iCA.ini and iCA.exe from the C:/ccd folder


Download the new iCA and install

Visit https://www.goitrans.com/ and find the link to download the latest version of Windows iCA.

Run the iCA_setup.exe.

Follow the screenshots in this article, making sure to check the "Enable CCDWS support for Alberta Blue Cross" check box.

Make sure you change the destination folder to point to C:\CCD

Make sure you also change the iCA directory to point to C:\CCD

Make sure you select "Service" for Setup Type

Make sure to check the box titled Enable CCDWS support for Alberta Blue Cross


Troubleshooting Tips


If the office gets a rejection notice due to error 128, "Missing/Invalid Current Predetermination Page Number, please delete the claim, create a new one, and send it again.
